About The Opportunity

Support Operations and Maintenance Functions for Indirect Purchasing Commodities by maintaining Stock Levels through MRP Replenishment to Maximum Stock Levels, Cycle Counting, Part Number Creation, Invoice Resolution and Cost Reductions with Suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures

     

  • Comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures

     

  • Create Purchase Orders or convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders to support Inventory Levels for Indirect Tools, Spares, Consumables, and Services.

     

  • Manage $12 M of inventory while looking for ways to reduce the inventory to the lowest amount required to support the business.

     

  • Assist departments in product search, obtaining price quotes and product availability.

     

  • Send Purchase Orders to vendors and follow up to ensure timely delivery of ordered items.

     

  • Responsible to Review Min/Max Requirements and lead times to adjust inventory levels to support Operational Requirements for Indirect Commodities within the Stores

     

  • Responsible for Item Number Creation, Maintaining Source Lists and Purchasing Info Records Master Data in SAP for Indirect Commodities including Consumables, tooling and spares.

     

  • Support Stock out Issues, root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence

     

  • Work with vendors to implement VMI or Consignment where possible

     

  • Negotiate with vendors for pricing, terms and shipping costs

     

  • Fill in for both plant locations

     

  • Interface with Maintenance, Facilities, Operations and Engineering teams daily

     

  • Identify and execute Continuous Improvement Projects

     

  • Identify and negotiate cost savings with suppliers

     

  • Identify Obsolete Inventory assisting in resolutions

     

  • Make decisions independently concerning issues and processes to arrive

     

  • at recommendations for management.

     

  • Manage special projects and/or assignments as required, within approved guidelines.

     

  • Other duties as assigned with in the Indirect Purchasing Scope

     

  • Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager
