About The Opportunity
ROLE PURPOSE AND VALUE
 

Providing the working-level engineering interface to the customer for assigned and new program(s), and ensuring project execution from design stage up to production in alignment with customer expectations throughout the product life cycle, in support and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1

Provide the engineering representation to the customer for assigned & new program(s), under the guidance of the Engineering Manager. Promote the GKN brand and technology to the customer.

Design, technical advice and support for domestic and foreign customers in the fields of motorsport and Niche applications, as well as design, calculation and product-related design of drive shafts for these customers

elaboration of solution concepts according to the requirements of the customers; Implementation of these concepts by calculation and construction in construction drawings

Drawing coordination externally with customers and suppliers as well as internally with the respective GKN specialist departments, organization and initiation of subscription changes, creating technical documentation

elaboration of solution concepts according to the requirements of the customers; Implementation of these concepts by calculation and construction in construction drawings, inclusion of production-related, quality-related, cost-related and standardization-related specifications

Establish and develop effective relationships with customer engineering functions at working levels.

Confirm that project execution of deliverables meets customer expectations for assigned program(s) throughout the program life cycle of C, D, and E phase in support of the Application Engineering Manager, and in coordination with the Engineering Programme Manager. Escalated discrepancies through the AEM.

Provide engineering support to ensure robust change management in C and D phases for assigned program(s). Generate VAVE ideas to provide savings in D Phase.

For assigned program(s), develop robust DFMEA with Programme Engineering. Support DFMEA/PFMEA reviews with plant quality prior to launch.

Support the documentation for deviations in the customer requirements compliance matrix for C0 programs (also known as “agree/disagree”) in support of the Engineering Manager

Execute escalation of technical issues through the Engineering Manager, with the support of the Programme Engineering, in accordance with the PPSI process.

Support the Engage Me process through participation in action plan development, with the intent of improving overall team engagement.
