About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Co-ordinator has become available at our Aerospace manufacturing plant in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

You would be working within a small team, the successful candidate will provide general assistance and support to the HSEE Team, ensuring health and safety good practice across both East Cowes sites.

There are great opportunities to develop your career in Health & Safety as well as being involved in environmental and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Working alongside the Facilities team to manage contractors both before and once on site
  • Follow up on accident and incident investigations
  • Maintain in-house health and safety practices
  • Organize health and safety training where required across the business
  • Co-ordinate the custodian scheme and act as an ambassador
  • Provide weekly KPI’s to management
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and applicable databases

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Good reporting skills, PC literate
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Proactive and able to work within a team but also under the own initiative
  • Problem solving and decision making 

The candidate will ideally have certification from a recognised professional body (IOSH, NEBOSH, ROSPA etc.) and evidence of health and safety training.
