About The Opportunity
As our current CFO will take on new challenges within GKN we are now looking for a successor.

The CFO GKN Aerospace Engine Systems will be given the great opportunity to provide financial leadership and vision for a major international division with multi site responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
AES comprises 12 sites across Scandianvia and North America. The role of the CFO is to provide strategic leadership to the global Finance & IT function.
The key responsibility of this postion will include:
Control Environment
  • Establish appropriate financial control systems and procedures for creating a sound control environment.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, GKN plc and Aerospace divisional governance policies.
  • Define and deploy standard financial processes and procedures in line  with group and divisional directives.
  • Develop and manage Financial and Management reporting processes.
  • Ensure the Finance organisation is adequately resourced and managed.
  • Implement and manage the capital investment process and post investment verification.
  • Direct the integration, development and delivery of high quality, cost effective IT utilities and services, covering SAP, CAD/CAM and other applications.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure and hardware are sufficient to support current and planned future business.
  • Implement USD functional currency.
Business Support
  • Develop procedures and provide direction for the strategic planning and annual budget processes.  Ensure plans are communicated.
  • Implement robust financial forecasting processes.
  • Active participation in the business group monthly performance review.
  • Identify financial/operational issues and be a part of the solution.
  • Attend and help lead operational review meetings.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of corrective action plans in each business group.
  • Provide key management information and analysis to make informed business decisions and to help drive business performance improvement, particularly cost competitiveness and cash generation.
Strategic Partner
  • Active contributor to the development of the business strategic plan.
  • Lead Finance input on key commercial decisions – pricing, sourcing and capital expenditure.
  • Lead finance input on new ventures, including M&A activity and post integration activity.
  • Assess performance of plants within the business groups to define strategic development.
  • Develop the management information required to respond effectively to business demands and stimulate strategic actions.
  • Develop IT/IS to be a strategic enabler.
Finance Organisation Development
  • Establish functional strategy for Finance and IT organisations.
  • Develop the Finance organization through training and mentoring as well as on the job experience covering business partnering and internal control.
  • Develop Finance succession plan including development of key talent.
