About The Opportunity

Would you like to be part of an excellent machine procurement team working with our valued internal customers, managing the technical requirements for new equipment? We are looking for a structured and driven Technical Coordinator Machine Procurement team leader who have leadership skills and prefer team-work. It’s recommended to have a manufacturing engineering background and deep knowledge in aerospace requirements and standards.

The Machine Procurement department has the responsibility to gather the total technical requirement for a specific equipment and this is done through teamwork with stakeholders in the specific area of expertise. This opening gives you the opportunity to work with exciting process equipment but also more standardized type of equipment that must have a good technical reliability over time. 

You will support the responsible buyer with technical input in negotiations and in tight collaboration with the project leader work for the shortest possible lead time.
Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Coordinator you will be responsible for putting together the technical requirements in our RFQ’s (Request for Quotations). You will be the technical spokesperson for GKN Aerospace Engine Systems, Trollhättan in machine procurement projects, from the pre-study stage to end of warranty.


It is important that you understand marginal benefit, listen to the customer and strive to understand and meet customer expectations. There is also a project leader that needs to be updated on a regular basis. And there is, finally, a machine supplier who needs to be challenged, supported and encouraged.

Main Responsibilities:

·         Technical requirements coordination, internally and externally

·         Coordinate procurement activities e.g. Gate R and acceptance tests.

·         Create and deliver on time schedule

·         Warranty follow up.

·         Keep a good, professional contact with suppliers  



·         Bachelor’s degree within engineering/manufacturing or similar experience.

·         Experience from manufacturing engineering/production

·         Target oriented

·         Good communication skills in English, spoken as well as written



·         Good technical knowledge of machines

·         Skilled in IT tools such as SAP R3, Microsoft Excel, power point and team site

·         Good knowledge of our products, processes and technologies.

·          Good understanding of Export Control Requirements
