About The Opportunity

Role Purpose:        

-       Design, development, integration, test, release and management of software for a complex automotive Plug-N-Play architecture (Drivers to Application)

-       Development of robust AUTOSAR configuration and Agile/Continuous Integration practices through-out software and product development

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

-       Requirements analysis and management of customer specifications or internal engineering specification

-       Develop software for ECU state management, diagnostics, network and communication management, etc.

-       Mechatronics software integration, verification & validation, debugging and troubleshooting using Vector CAN tools, JTAG/DAP debuggers etc.

-       Model the dynamic behavior of the software system and assign resources (Task Scheduling/Priority, Multi-core resources, Memory allocation, Communication…etc.)

-       Define branching and merging strategy of Plug-N-Play software elements using system configuration schema

-       Create and verify the SW build tool chain configuration and scripts, configure variation points and verify compliance based on requirements

-       Responsible for creation of plant container, project specific flash container, and execution of integration tests

-       Implement and manage complete bi-directional traceability of requirements, designs, executables, tests using configuration management tools like PTC-Integrity and SVN

-       Ensure adherence to software development process models e.g. Automotive SPICE, CMMI

-       Coordinate with Subsystem leaders to ensure compliance with safety standards of ISO26262 and Cyber security requirements

-       Support embedded software architecture analysis, Software FTA and DFMEA

-       Assist SW-PEM/PL in software development, release management, timing, etc.

-       Follow Lean-Agile practice and Continuous Integration methodologies for efficient software and product development

-       Be innovative in bringing value to embedded software by identifying re-usable and configurable software components, libraries functions, etc. while eliminating redundancy

Qualifications - required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering OR equivalent discipline. Masters degree is preferred.

  • Strong software development experience for embedded systems

    • 4+ years of programming in C, C++

    • 2+ years of experience in Software Integration of complex systems

  • Working knowledge of AUTOSAR software design and methodologies (DaVinci, Tresos, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development practices

  • Working knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins, Gerrit, BitBucket, CloudBees, Zuul or similar

  • Knowledge of the complete SDLC in the V-Cycle

  • Experience of requirement analysis and management in IBM Rational Doors or PTC Integrity or similar

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Must be able to work and travel independently

Qualifications – preferred:

  • Modeling and design using UML/SysML (Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, etc.)

  • Industry standards s.a.A-SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262 and Cyber Security

  • Vehicle Communication and Diagnostics protocols (CAN, GMLAN, LIN, KWP, UDS, etc.)

  • Effective communication and presentation skills (English)

  • Be able to work in a culturally diverse team environment

  • Available to travel as needed to support vehicle development activities within and outside USA: 5%
