About The Opportunity
The Human Resources Intern will participate in the day-to-day activities supporting the Human Resources Department.
Key Responsibilities

 

    • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new hires, including:

      • Posting open job positions

      • Reviewing resumes

      • Conducting telephone and on-site interviews

      • Drafting offer letters

      • Preparing all new hire paperwork

      • Ordering background checks and drug screens for candidates

      • Coordinating and attending Career Fairs

    • Assist in HR employee training and events

    • Process purchasing requisitions and submit invoices for all HR needs

    • Audit and maintain employee personnel files to ensure compliance with company policy and government regulations

    • Assist in updating employee data, records and new hire information within the HR information system.

    • Support in updating policies, procedure and practices for GKN Driveline North America

    • Communicate initiatives and announcements to local employees

    • Support HR projects as needed

     

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

 

  • Enrolled in accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in HR or equivalent

 

  • Business experience in an office setting is preferred

 

  • Solid interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

     

  • Experienced working with Microsoft Office preferred

     

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

     

  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills

 

  • Proven attention to detail

     

  • Fluent in English

     

  • Ability to work independently
