About The Opportunity

To insure maximum uptime of equipment to meet production requirements by creating schedules and planning of manpower. To coach their team toward continuous improvement of product quality and production efficiency. To be responsible for safety, cleanliness, team building, and professional development of each associate in the Maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  •  

  • Diagnose machine operating problems, bearings, ball-screws, covers, belts, etc.

     

  • Maintain hydraulic systems.

     

  • Disassemble machinery in order to diagnose operating problems and restore to proper working order. Maintain wiring systems for robots, conveyors, machines, and building lighting; complex control panel troubleshooting, equipment sensors, PLC, cable problems.

     

  • Use electrical measurement tools such as multi-meters.

     

  • Troubleshoot and replace electrical motors.

     

  • Read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.

     

  • Weld and fabricate to get machines back up and running – if necessary. .

     

  • Must be able to diagnose problems with equipment that could be a combination of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic

     

  • Document all work in SAP.

     

  • Find replacement parts via machine manual or calling OEM and ordering parts needed by filling out proper part request forms

     

  • Provide leadership for a teambuilding environment.

     

  • Direct team members and maintain a physical presence.

     

  • Appraise the performance of team members.

     

  • Investigate, recommend and schedule training and development of maintenance technicians.

     

  • Maintain associate attendance information including vacation schedules.

     

  • Perform data entry functions relate to attendance and pay in KRONOS.

     

  • Insure that safety and housekeeping standards are met.

     

  • Plan for associate development.

     

  • Handle disciplinary problems, disputes or grievances effectively.

     

  • Work with Management, Supervisors, Engineering and other groups to insure customer requirements are met.

     

  • Develop and maintain associate work schedule.

     

  • Insure that correct process control and associated documentation is utilized.

     

  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes.

     

  • Assist in the improvement of departmental layout.

     

  • Insure conformance to GKN Policies, Work Instructions, and OSHA procedures.

     

  • Assist in corrective actions related to internal customer complaints.

     

  • Insure efficient upkeep equipment.

     

  • Recommend and implement process improvements.

     

  • Facilitate team meetings related to quality, cleanliness, safety, productivity and continuous improvement.

     

  • Insure notifications are started and work orders are completed in SAP.

     

  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

     

  • Responsible for communication and enforcement of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures
