About The Opportunity

What you’ll do

Role Purpose

A key member of the cluster (Americas Region) finance team with responsibility for the reporting and planning requirements. Ensuring that cluster Managing Director (MD) and Finance Director (FD) are provided with insightful business analysis.

 

The person will also act as the finance business partner to the Cluster Purchasing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering directors, supporting with financial leadership for major projects including costing, make vs Buy and Capex investment appraisals.

 

Key Responsibilities

General:

  • Operational performance reporting
  • Provide decision support to the “operational” management covering CIMS/VAVE/PAP and capex.
  • Support activities in purchasing, supply chain & manufacturing engineering and take a proactive approach towards improvements
  • Provide support to and represent Cluster FD as required
  • Ensure ad hoc request for financial analysis from Senior Executives are responded to appropriately.
  • Provide project resource and knowledge across a variety of finance related current and future initiatives
  • Governance
  • Support and coach plant controllers.

 

Reporting:

  • Ensuring that all clusters adhere to CVJ, Divisional and Group financial reporting requirements ensuring:
  • Production of accurate and timely information, including consolidated monthly management accounts and other ad hoc reports.
  • Provision of insightful and meaningful analysis and commentary.
  • Lead the coordination and consolidation of forecasts & budgets
  • Oversee and control monthly/annual submission of management accounting information.
  • Ownership of the monthly cluster finance report and providing performance analysis.
  • Develop and distribute analysis of financial (and operational) information.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
  • Assure integrity and consistency between the Finance report and the financial information reporting of the functions (sales price movement, PAP-savings…)
  • Manage the monthly cluster CI/VAVE Review process

     

    Planning:

  • Execute CVJ procedures to comply with Divisional guidance/policy for the forecasting, strategic planning and annual budget processes.
  • Ensure plans are communicated and coordinated (assumptions, timings/calendar, templates) within the cluster
  • Oversee and control consolidation of cluster budget, and take ownership of budget pack.
  • Support FD with cash management
  • Support FD with FX management.

     

    Decision Support:

  • Provide key management information and analyses to make informed business decisions and to help drive business performance improvement.
  • … Involving purchasing/pricing, capacity utilization, make/buy analysis, productivity, supply chain working capital etc….
  • Identify financial or operational issues and provide options or solutions
  • Develop analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to provide value-added insight to the senior finance team.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans at Cluster/RU level to address any concerns and drive business performance in CVJ
  • Conduct monthly VAVE/CI performance reviews at Cluster & RU level
  • Provide proactive analysis of debtors, creditors and stock to help initiatetimely action to optimize working capital and cash flow + support with key cash initatives
  • Attend operational and major contract reviews to ensure familiarity with the major issues in the business

 

 

About you

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA/ACA or equivalent education.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Substantial financial management experience within an international manufacturing organization having multi-site operations, preferably including some experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment structure.
  • Experience of introducing new and improved financial processes and systems.
  • Where applicable, experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong accounting skills (understanding of IFRS & local GAAP).
  • Good understanding of IT tools and solutions.

     

  • Individual should be:
  • Process driven and structured
  • Strong financial analytical and modelling skills
  • Technically up to date, but possess broader commercial business acumen with strong communication ability.
  • Proactive, "can do" approach to work at all times
  • Capable of influencing without direct authority senior executives within clusters and plants.

 

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Work principally from [Alamance, Roxboro or Sanford].
  • International travel to support FD, cluster functions or special projects.
